Meet Joy

I want to share some news. Gigi has a little sister. Her name is Joy. She is now 26 weeks old and she has moved in with me for 17 weeks now. She is a bundle of energy. She is just like an energizer bunny! She is totally different than Gigi. She likes to eat, goes on walks, play with her toys, chew on anything her teeth can get to, likes to play with other dogs etc.

Sad day

I am sad to announce that Gigi has passed away on 5/3/2018.  She passed away peacefully on my laps with her family by her side.  She has lived an amazing life.  She is loved and will be missed.

By the time this post is up she is doing much better.  Thank you God.

Training Gigi

If you haven't know, Gigi has spent most of her life training... be it agility, rally or just some tricks.  She loves it.  She loves the activity and especially loves the treats that goes with it.  And she is good at it too.  Since her retirement 2 or 3 years ago we haven't done much training at all.  However, about a month or 2 ago, I have been itching to train her again.  Mostly for fun.  But also for practicality.  Whenever we went to my parent's house she knows to go potty in the back yard.  I have somehow trained her to do that (yay.  and yes... you CAN train an old dog).  HOWEVER, whenever she needs to go out, she stands SILENTLY by the door and stare at the door.  Which is nice, but if you didn't pay attention and didn't know she wants out she goes wherever she wants.  LOL. It is not her faulty, she did ask to go out, just that we didn't see it.  So I decided to train her to use a table bell for asking out.

Current TN

My current TN is my Foxy Fix No. 1 (which is passport) wide in Sugar Cookie.  I really enjoy it.  I can almost say that this is my planner peace. :)

Etsy shop is open again

The shop has been closed for awhile when the listings were expiring one by one.  I hesitate to reopen it, because I don't know what everyone wants.  But I finally decided to add some basic goodies in there to test the water again.  Custom is always welcome.  Just send me an convo or email. 

Updated Planner Situation

That sounded so serious--SITUATION.  It is not.  I just want to share what I am using now. ;)  I am still totally into TN and have no intention of using EC.  However, I am changing size again.:D  I was using a regular/standard TN for a bit.  Mine was made by Peppermint Doxie Designs.  I love the cover and I was using DIY Fish v3s2, which works ok for me.  Then for One Book July, I used a DO1P.  It was actually a bit too much room for me.  Especially on days when I am not inspired or have nothing special going on.  But I do like day on 1 page idea though, just not as big.

Why I like Traveler's Notebook?

I have been using an Erin Condren planner last year and when I was using it, I truly enjoyed it and love it.  And I have always find Traveler's Notebook (TN) a bit weird, can't say why or how. But I didn't think I would want to try it.  It seems overwhelming?

Have been using my Standard size TN for over a month now.  And I really like. It still fits in my bag and it is not too thick.  I am happy with it.  It is from Peppermint Doxie Designs in Etsy.

Regular TN

So I finally received my ZLYC covers.  It looked nice, but it only has 1 elastic... 2 if you count the shorter one.  How do people deal with only 1 elastic?  Anyway.  The height between the top and bottom holes is shorter than the the height of the insert.  I do not like it when the elastic has to stretch to hold the insert.  So I decided I will add new holes and restring the whole thing.  I did with both the regular size and the passport.  I have included some flipthrough footage so you can see.  And you can see the difference placement of the holes (mine and the original)... it is kind of crazy.
